I’m Lauren, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and founder of Embody Safety Wellness. I help individuals who’ve lived through trauma, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and rediscover peace from the inside out.

My work weaves science-backed somatic practices with intentional, trauma-informed support — creating space for people to move from surviving to living fully again.

Why I Do This Work

For most of my life, I felt disconnected from my body. I lived in a state of panic, emotional isolation, and inner chaos. Traditional approaches only got me so far — until I discovered Somatic Experiencing® and other somatic healing modalities.

At first, it felt strange. I had never known what it was like to feel at home in my own skin. But as I began reconnecting with my body — truly listening to it — everything shifted. The more I studied the nervous system and experienced the transformation in myself, the more I knew I had to share this work.

It became clear: healing requires a full-body experience. It's not just about what we think — it’s about what we feel, what we hold, and how we learn to move through it all.

My Approach

In our work together, I bring a warm, grounded presence and a deep respect for your pace. I believe that your body holds immense wisdom — and that my role isn’t to fix you, but to guide you back into relationship with yourself.

Clients often describe my style as connective, intentional, and supportive. I hold space for your nervous system with care, offering tools to help you slowly build resilience, release stored tension, and experience more ease and flow in your daily life.

Together, we’ll focus on building your capacity to:

  • Feel safe and grounded in your body

  • Navigate emotions without overwhelm

  • Understand your nervous system patterns

  • Reclaim a sense of personal power, trust, and self-regulation

My approach is integrative and always evolving. I’m certified in:

  • Somatic Experiencing® (SE)

  • Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy (with Embody Lab)

I also draw from practices like:

  • Breathwork

  • Mindfulness

  • IFS-Informed Dialogue (Internal Family Systems)

  • Attachment Theory
